The Chatterbox sits within 14 acres of Suffolk meadow and woodland.

The land is constantly evolving — shaped by wildlife, weather and the quiet work of restoring and caring for it.

Guests are welcome to wander the meadows and enjoy it, but behind the scenes there is always something happening.

The Meadows
The surrounding meadows are managed to encourage wildlife rather than simply being cut short.

By allowing grasses and wildflowers to grow through spring and early summer, the fields become home to butterflies, bees and birds before being traditionally cut later in the year.
