Coast & Day Trips

Spend the afternoon wandering the lighthouse and pier at Southwold, enjoy fish and chips by the harbour, or walk along the dunes at Walberswick before taking the foot ferry across the river. A little further along the coast, the dramatic cliffs and heathland of Dunwich Heath offer spectacular views and peaceful coastal walks.
Walks & Countryside
Step straight out into open countryside, with quiet footpaths and big Suffolk skies.
The house sits among beautiful Suffolk countryside, with quiet lanes, meadows and heathland waiting to be explored straight from the door.
A favourite nearby walk is across the open landscape of Westleton Heath National Nature Reserve, where heather, gorse and silver birch create a wonderfully wild atmosphere. In late summer the heath turns purple with heather and is alive with birds and butterflies.
For longer walks, the surrounding villages and countryside provide miles of footpaths, ideal for slow mornings with dogs, family adventures or a peaceful evening stroll.
